Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
-
Any First Responder/FR Spouse who has experienced an on duty injury or career trauma accumulation. Sometimes we are more wounded by a thousand paper cuts over the course of serving, than by one traumatic incident.
-
Police, Firefighters, EMS, Dispatchers.

The fund works to bring encouragement, resources, and support to eligible families and individuals in any way possible, but focuses on care packages—with a variety of items tailored to each recipient’s physical, mental, and spiritual health—free communication tools for couples and parents (like the Balance Board and “I Don’t Understand—A Children’s book about PTSD for First Responder Families”), in person + virtual REBOOT Trauma Recovery Courses, home cooked meals, homestead visits, weekly check-ins, research assistance for more local resources and more.
It aims to walk with recipients for the long haul, reminding them that they are seen long after their department has forgotten about their sacrifice and struggle.

This is a really great question and an important one. We do make a little money from our homestead products (like soap, candles, wool/fur products, embroidered sweaters etc), but it’s usually just enough to keep the business running, and maintain the homestead itself. Often we still do eat shipping costs, or pay for needed services for our C.I. Fund recipients out of pocket. Any fundraising materials, supplies, and efforts are paid for by the homestead, or by a few products specifically marked as benefiting the Fund. It’s just never enough to meet the full scale needs we encounter.
Money from the Critical Incident Fund NEVER goes ANYWHERE except into resources, aid, and items that recipients will receive DIRECTLY and tangibly.

Keep scrolling, you’ll find our donation form. It lets you know what each outreach item costs (approximately) if you are looking to give something specific, or you can select your own custom amount. Every cent matters and gets celebrated on our end, so no matter what you give, THANK YOU for being in this with us!
